Contrast Grading second edition

Contrast Grading second edition - £29.99 (GBP)
Learn the art of Contrast Grading from colour to monochrome

Free packing and postage on this DVD

Contrast Grading is based on wet darkroom techniques that have not changed over many years. The switch from chemical process to digital is a totally different way of working, but the principles still remain the same; camera exposure, paper exposure and paper grading are the key factors now as they were before. The skill is in visualizing where to add Contrast, Tonal range, and Texture in editing. Fortunately there are tools in the digital darkroom that can emulate the wet process. The 8 videos on this high quality audio and video DVD will show you how to process a colour Raw file from capture to the finished monochrome image using only contrast and sharpening as the main tools. The process is easy to follow for beginners; advanced workers will find the workflow of interest. The video running time is 2.33 hours. It will work on PC or Mac on all popular browsers. Because quality is of prime importance when watching and listening to the tutorials the files size is large so IT is only available on DVD.

The DVD is available worldwide and despatched same day first class post~airmail in bubble wrap envelopes protected by strong card inserts, also the DVD comes in an attractive case which also acts as further protection.

The DVD contains every thing you need to know about creating stunning Black and White images, it also contains the two Raw files used to make the master mono file so you can follow the workflow exactly. The files are in .DNG format so will open in virtually all Photoshop versions.

In The Zone e-Book

In The Zone e-Book - £3.99 (GBP)
The In The Zone e-Book has been written to try and help photographers understand how to adopt the Zone System into their Digital world.

For many photographers, the Zone System in their eyes was something that Ansel Adams created for film photography. Whilst it may be true to say that Ansel Adams was using Film medium when he created the Zone System, this does not mean that the concept cannot be used in the Digital world that we live in today.

This e-Book will help you understand the importance of capturing an image with the exposure that matches what you visualised at the scene.

Once you have an understanding about the benefits of using the Zone System, the idea is that you forget about it, which then enables you to concentrate on the things that are really important to us in photography, being creative.
